AGE OF MYTHOLOGY: EXTENDED EDITION COMING TO STEAM
Age of Mythology: Extended Edition includes both the base game and the Titans expansion, as well as the campaign add-on Golden Gift. It's undergoing a visual overhaul that includes improved rendering of water and lighting, shadows, bump maps, and antialising. You can check out some of the polished-up visuals in our gallery below.
This new AoM release comes with full Steam integration, including multiplayer, achievements, trading cards, cloud saves, and mod management via the Steam Workshop.
Additionally, it also features Twitch integration, as well as HD support. It'll now run without a hitch on Windows 7 or greater.
We deemed Age of a Mythology a game "fit for the gods" when we reviewed it upon its 2002 release. It's a spin-off of the Age of Empires series, featuring Norse, Greek, and Egyptian figures of myth and legend.
Age of Mythology: Extended Edition becomes available for pre-purchase on Steam in early April. No word on its price yet, but we'll be sure to let you know when we find out.
